El Inverted Word Order son libros, poemas e informes escritos de uso común. Es usado para cambiar la importancia o el énfasis del tema. Al leer una oración más parte importante, de la oración, es el principio (sujeto). Con el Inverted Word Order, son capaces de poner la atención en el complemento invirtiendo el sujeto y el objeto.
Regular Word Order
I must go to the doctor.
Are you so certain about your test results?
The child was hanging from the ceiling.
You should never forget who I am.
Carlos has many secrets in his past.
Inverted Word Order
To the doctor I must go.
So certain are you about your test results?
Hanging from the ceiling the child was.
Never should you forget who I am.
Many secrets Carlos has in his past.
El Inverted Word Order también se usa en poemas. Esto agrega algo de romance y creatividad a tu poema. Es muy fácil de hacer. Solo sigue las instrucciones:
- Choose any subject
- Have students give you 6 short sentences about the subject (regular order)
- Write sentences on board
- Next, invert sentences 2, 4, 6
