Prefixes
Un prefix es un grupo de letras colocadas antes de la raíz de una palabra. Por ejemplo, la palabra «unhappy» consiste en el prefijo «un-» [que significa «no»] combinado con la palabra raíz (o raíz) «happy«; la palabra «unhappy» significa «not happy«.

Suffixes
Un suffix es un grupo de letras colocadas después de la raíz de una palabra. Por ejemplo, la palabra sin sabor consiste en la raíz de la palabra «flavor» combinada con el sufijo «-less» [que significa «sin«]; la palabra «flavorless» significa «without flavor«.
